Adventures in Autumn

Things have been pretty quiet around the Reinert Wohnung this month.  We took a day trip to Stuttgart to visit some friends from the US that were over here for work, and Serge had a quick business trip to Wettringen, but other than that we've spent most of our time hanging around Wetzlar, watching football and trying to keep our heads up after the heartbreaking loss of Marcus Lattimore. :-( Last weekend Serge and I decided to take advantage of USC's bye week and hike our way from Wetzlar to Braunfels.  Serge printed out a satellite picture of the route, I packed some nuts, apples, and water, and we bundled up and headed out for the 15 km hike.  It ended up taking us about 3 hours and was concluded with an all-out sprint to the bus stop to catch a ride back to Wetzlar just as the sun was setting.  It was quite an adventure, filled with beautiful views, a few minor detours, and a fox sighting.  Here are some photos from the hike and a few other things we've been up to.

Living 5,000 miles away from Williams-Brice and having a 6-hour time difference doesn't stop these Gamecock fans from tailgating!
