Paris in the Morning

Serge and I (along with a good chunk of the German population) spent the Tag der Deutschen Einheit holiday weekend in Paris.  I'm pretty sure I say this every time we come back from somewhere new, but this was seriously one of my favorite trips we've taken thus far!  The weather was beautiful - 80's during the day and mid 60's at night, and we never once saw a cloud!  We had done some sweater shopping in Frankfurt a few weeks prior to the trip, but we ended up having to get our summer clothes back out - no complaints here!  We spent the first two days walking around the city and sightseeing, then after stumbling upon a Disney store on Champs-Élysées, we spontaneously decided to buy 2 tickets and spend the next day in Disneyland.  We've looked at so many monuments, churches, and museums over this past year; it was so much fun to just let loose and play at Disneyland! :-) Another highlight of the trip was a boat cruise that we took at sunset down the Seine River.  After the interesting experience we had in Portugal, Serge was a little apprehensive about taking another river cruise, but this one was perfect!  Paris is so beautiful at night, and the one-hour guided boat ride was the perfect way to see all the bridges and buildings lit up and reflecting off the Seine.  We hope you enjoy our pictures!

Bienvenue à Paris!
