Wetzlar sunrise on Serge's walk to work
I love snow!
This was on the way back from dinner with Albano (Serge's boss in Fort Lauderdale), who made a quick trip to Wetzlar before Christmas.
The snow was so pretty and powdery, and I wanted to play in it so badly, but it was like midnight on a Tuesday, and somebody had to work the next day...
Kornmarkt
"O, Tannenbaum!"
Awesome dinner in Braunfels with Stephanie and Werner
Outside the restaurant
We love this pretty little town!
Doing some shopping at the Domplatz market.
Side note: Serge and I are determined to live without a car for the 3 years that we're over here. Some people back in the States have their doubts that we'll be able to complete Serge's assignment sans auto, but I'm pretty sure that if we could make it through Christmas shopping without one (which we obviously did), then we can make it through anything! That was certainly an adventure! :-)
Walking back from the market with some Christmas flowers.
The top balcony behind Serge is our apartment!
Playing Santa! Delivering "Tater-made" White Trash to our neighbors.
Walking to the Christmas Concert in the Domplatz
Wetzlarer Dom
There were musicians playing on the church balcony and singers on a stage on the ground.
It was snowing, there was Glühwein; it was pretty awesome!!
Domplatz Christmas Tree
Watching the concert in the snow
Hauptwache, where we rang in the New Year with Brian and Catherine
We walked around the Altstadt (old city) after the concert to look at all the Christmas decorations and play in the snow!
This sure is a pretty town we live in!
The Christmas tree outside our apartment.
I definitely will be sad when they take it down!
Our street sign!
