Pre-Christmas Pics

Wow! What a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve the Reinerts had! :-) My parents were in town for about a week, and we had a great time showing them around Wetzlar and celebrating Christmas with them!  We were so sad to see them go!  Serge and I then made a little trip to Frankfurt for two nights to see my parents off and to welcome our next guests, our good friends Brian and Catherine.  They came over here to ring in the new year with us, and we had an absolute blast spending time with them!  They just headed out this morning, and Serge went back to work after a much enjoyed two week vacation, so I finally have a little bit of time to blog and share with you some of the 300 photos we racked up over the holidays!  I'll start with some pictures we took before my parents' visit, and work my way through chronologically, so it's not so overwhelming. :-) Serge and I hope you all had a very merry Christmas, and a great start to 2011!!!

I love snow!

 This was on the way back from dinner with Albano (Serge's boss in Fort Lauderdale), who made a quick trip to Wetzlar before Christmas.

The snow was so pretty and powdery, and I wanted to play in it so badly, but it was like midnight on a Tuesday, and somebody had to work the next day...

But there's always time for a snow angel!

Side note: Serge and I are determined to live without a car for the 3 years that we're over here. Some people back in the States have their doubts that we'll be able to complete Serge's assignment sans auto, but I'm pretty sure that if we could make it through Christmas shopping without one (which we obviously did), then we can make it through anything! That was certainly an adventure! :-)

There were musicians playing on the church balcony and singers on a stage on the ground. 

It was snowing, there was Glühwein; it was pretty awesome!!

We walked around the Altstadt (old city) after the concert to look at all the Christmas decorations and play in the snow!
