This was the back of our train ticket from Frankfurt. Haha!
"Qualmen" means to smoke.
My little rock star, helping clean up before Brian and Catherine arrived :-)
They got here on the last day of the little Christmas Market by the train station.
Of course we had to go by so they could try a mug of Glühwein!
We were so happy to have these guys in Wetzlar!
Enjoying a Bananenweizen at Palais, another Turkish restaurant
I love this picture even though it looks kinda weird because Palais was rocking the red lights in preparation for Silvester. That boy knows how to make me laugh, that's for sure!
I also like this picture because I'm just hamming it up for the camera, while Serge is... probably checking on our stocks, looking up directions or the train schedule, making a reservation - something responsible! He takes such good care of me! :-)
Playing Die Siedler von Catan, a really popular (and fun) German board game
Serge was in a good mood because he dominated every time we played.
Mr. Competitive wouldn't be all cute and goofy if he was losing! ;-)
I've never won this game. I think he didn't properly translate the directions for me...
Pre-dinner glass of Sekt
Boys watching the Clemson bowl game
The Loves, looking good
The Reinerts, also looking good
Prost!
How cute is my little Euro hubby?! I know; he's adorable! :-)
Walk 10 steps to the restaurant, and it's time for another picture!
Loves in the Domplatz
Just a couple of gluttons, about to get their dine on!
The 4 of us before the first course
This was our 3rd New Year's Eve together; it's a tradition! Next year: NC!!
Girl Talk!
Taking a break from all the food.
Male Bonding
Watching the fireworks and starting the countdown!
Zehn, Neun...
Acht, Sieben...
Sechs, Fünf...
Fireworks and the Dom
Vier, Drei...
The Domplatz was packed!
Zwei, Eins...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Mandatory Midnight Smooch!
Taking the Silvester celebration back inside for dessert!
That handsome Frenchman pointing is Ludovic, the owner of Hauptwache.
Fireworks still going off
The German symbol for "3," representing the 3 dessert platters we had!
After 5 hours of stuffing our faces...
The LAST course: fried dough balls with powder sugar! :-)
